No matter what the occasion, however, there are a few things to consider when giving promotional gifts to employees.

When your employees carry one of your promotional umbrellas, they should look like they work for a company that treats them. Remember too that you employees will be the ones who carry their promotional umbrellas most. The higher the quality, the longer they will last. Make sure that you have some extras on hand in case the promotional umbrellas are broken or otherwise worn.

After all, the employee should be an extension of your company. No matter if that employee is at work or not, e or she will be representing the company when you can’t be there. A promotional umbrella of a low quality says not only that you’re cheap when it comes to your employees, but also that your products or services are not the best available. That’s not the impression you want to give! Spend the extra money and purchase umbrellas that are large with a sturdy handle and made from heavier material.

Color and design is also important. When possible, talk to your employees who will be gift recipients and ask for input. For adults, look for promotional umbrellas that are professional and can be used in any appropriate situation for every employees. For example, a pink and white striped promotional umbrella may seem cute to you or your wife, but most of the men in your office will resist carrying them! Getting employee input will help please everyone. If you are on your own as far as the decision goes, look for a classic design style instead of anything wacky and choose a neutral color, like navy blue.

Of course, cost is also probably important to you, and some companies resist buying promotional gifts for their employees. After all, these people are already connected to your company. Shouldn’t you spend the money to draw in new people instead? Well, yes, but remember that your employees work hard for you and promotional umbrellas can help them spread the work about your business. Choose carefully, and they will carry their umbrellas everywhere!
