A person dissatisfied with his employment finds
out from a fellow employee that people are making
money on the internet. After thinking about making
money online he/she searches the web looking for
opportunities. Going to the public library and
using the computer he/she finds a money making
internet website business that they are sure will
help them to become independent. Thinking they have
the right business he/she hook's up to the internet
at home and joins the internet business world. Full
of enthusiasm he/she is on the computer for hours
going through tutorials, listening to video's,
building parts of their website, joins a forum and
joins affiliate sites. The journey begins with the
utmost haste, getting things going as fast as he/she
can possibly go. People are making big money online,
and the desire is there to aspire and emulate others.
A month goes by and no sales. Two and then three months
go by and still no sales. Just a little discouragement
settles in, but he/she continues. After nine months
with very little or no sales he/she is now finding it
an uphill battle. By the end of the year he/she is so
discouraged they quit the internet business world.
When friends ask about the internet business he/she
comments negatively.

What was missing from this scenario? He/she was
missing a "Correct Website Commitment Plan". Instead
of standing back from their business and asking
themselves, "if I was doing this for a customer what
advice would I give them?" In other words, one has to do
a business plan. To map out the direction of the website
by giving the owner a focus.

How does a person do a "correct website commitment plan?'
You all know the situation you are in, whether you have
a lot of money to start with ($2500), an average amount
($1000), or a little amount of money ($50 to 80 a month).
Remember this next point always. It does not matter if
you start with a lot of money or very little money the
goal is still the same - to make money. I know people who
have started out with a large amount of money and are no
further ahead than those with very little money. Those that
have a correct website commitment plan do better than those
that do not.

Let's say you have very little money to work with. Your
goal is to drive as much traffic to your site as you can.

1) Blog. Have a blog link on your site and write articles
for it. Write what you know about business first of all and
then search for new material. Always write the articles in
your own words. Articles are free advertising when you submit
them. Do at least two articles a week for 104 in your first
year.

2) Adsense. Apply for adsense for your blog, and/or website.
Google will pay you for every click that happens with their
Google advertising and it is free.

3) If you do not know how to list your website with search
engines then buy a package from a company who will submit it
for you. It must be a monthly submittal and give you
information each month on your search engine ranking. This
will help drive traffic to your site. Buy at least a six month
submittal package.

4) Traffic Generators. Join the free traffic generator sites
that advertise your business. These companies do an incredible
job of getting people to look at YOU.

5) Forums. Join a forum where people help each other do business.
When you gain experience you help others and it has your site on
every discussion you enter. This too is free advertising.

These five points will help in a BIG way to your success. The
only part you paid for was the monthly submittal to search engines.

If you are starting off with a large amount of money like the $2500
mentioned before what should you do? Plan, plan and plan some more.
Break up the $2500 into 12 equal marketing plans for Google Adwords,
ezine marketing and more. Learn how to advertise with Google Adwords
first before doing so as it can cost more than you plan to. Here is
a list for the serious money making website business owner.

1) Blog. A blog link on your website. Subscribe to an article writing
company and an article submitting company.

2) Adsense. Apply for Adsense on your blog and/or website.

3) Use a company to submit your website to all search engines.

4) Create an opt-in mailing list from a reputable company, and use
an auto-responder to reply to these emails.

5) Google Adwords. Advertise with Google, but learn how to do it
first. Do not just jump right in or it could cost you more than
you want it to.

6) Ezine Advertising. Advertise with other companies lists of emails.

7) Linking. Link with other websites to receive more traffic.

8) Join a Forum. You will learn more from others, so ask lots of
questions and also help others.

The criteria of this list will help the go-getter achieve faster
results.

Commitment

The word commitment denotes responsibility. YOU are now responsible
to the commitment to your website. Sounds serious to me, does it
sound serious to you? It should as you are responsible for your own
success, nobody is going to hand it to you. Having said that, you
must break down your plan to yearly, monthly and weekly schedules
and goals. Continue to look over what you are doing. Lets say your
years goal is 100 articles written by you and submitted. That is
100 for the year, 8/9 per month and 2 articles weekly. As you get
into your groove you might up your articles to 125 a year, 10/11 per
month and 3 per week. See how your commitment to your plan can drive
you to further your goals. You can continue to manipulate your plan
of commitment. Be careful that you do not raise your plan and start
on the road to burn-out. Make every goal attainable and enjoy your
building process.

Use your "Correct Website Commitment Plan" abilities to map out
your business path. Consistency is a must and work each day
toward your goal of making money online. It is these consistent
efforts that pay off in the long term. It takes one to three
years to make a good living online, so focus on three years, and
if it comes sooner all the power to you. Here's to your success.
