Entertainment in Dubai

The entertainment industry in the Middle East is different from that of any other place in the world. The entertainment industry encompasses the TV, the radio, the film, other media, the night clubs, etc.; Entertainment includes animation, cinemas, theatre, circus, comedy, dance, games and music. But entertainment in the Middle East ranges from the less money churning ones to the ones that are more commercially inclined. The television industry is a major part of the entertainment industry in Middle East. The cinema is also a major part of the entertainment industry here.

The other facets like theater, circus, and dance are not that well organized. Some of them depend on their larger brothers to survive. The entrainment industry is large even though it operates under strict controls. The society is Mohammedan and there are strict controls imposed on the telecast of certain kinds of entertainment in the countries of Middle East.

Most of the big entertainment houses are run by sheikhs and others with big monetary holdings. There are major events that are regularly organized, but there are controls over certain facets too. For example, there are restrictions over the type of bands to tour through countries, the type of movies to be shown on various cannels, etc. The traditional Arabian music scene is also happening and provides for much entertainment. Many actors spend their spare time in the Middle East. The Middle Eastern society is still much cloistered society and do not approve of certain things that are otherwise being shown on the western media. Western media is not much allowed in the countries.

There are some places in the Middle East which are known as major tourist destinations. Dubai is one such place. There are wonderful hotels in Dubai and it is found that the nightlife often centers around these hotels. Dubai has the right attractions for an unforgettable time. Dubai is full of sun, sand, sea and sports. There is an interesting traditional culture in Dubai. There are restaurants, entertainment parks and beaches in the Middle East. These comprise a big chunk of the entertainment scene. Other well-known places that are of tourist interest and within budgetary constraints, providing good entertainment, are Sharjah, Jeddah and Abu Dhabi.

Shopping is an unforgettable experience in Dubai. The shopping festival held in Dubai is one of the major events held here. Dubai is full of shops, selling many an items that are not only luxurious but also are needed in daily lives. Night is a favorable time for shopping in Dubai and other cities of the Middle East. The Dubai Shopping Festival is a major tourist attraction for many. It is held every year and is a wonderful experience. Dubai Hotels are well known all over the world as top-class hotels. Duty free shopping that Dubai offers its visitors is also a wonderful experience.
